Viktor Gyökeres has addressed the growing speculation surrounding his future, following strong comments from Sporting CP’s president regarding his potential exit.
“There’s a lot of talk at the moment, most of it is false. I’ll speak when the time is right,” the striker said, pushing back on the swirling rumors and choosing to stay tight-lipped for now.
Tension has risen after Sporting’s president reportedly rejected the idea of letting Gyökeres leave for an initial fee of 65 million euros. That figure had been informally agreed upon with his agents during Hugo Viana’s time as sporting director. With Viana no longer at the club, Sporting have now set their asking price closer to 80 million euros.
As talks stall and the price climbs, several major clubs remain alert, watching closely to see how the situation unfolds.
