The expanded FIFA Club World Cup kicks off this Saturday in Miami Gardens, Florida, marking the launch of the most ambitious club football tournament in history. Thirty-two teams from around the globe will play 63 matches in 12 different American cities, all chasing a share of the massive one-billion-dollar prize pool.
The competition features elite clubs from every continent, including reigning European champions Paris Saint-Germain, South American giants like Boca Juniors and Flamengo, and North America’s top contenders such as LAFC and Inter Miami, the latter led by Lionel Messi.
The opening round includes six group matches at the iconic Rose Bowl, with notable teams such as Inter Milan and PSG taking center stage early. LAFC will begin their group campaign in Atlanta, Nashville and Orlando.
In Group A, Brazilian powerhouse Palmeiras, Portuguese giants Porto, Egyptian heavyweights Al Ahly and Inter Miami will face off. Group B features PSG, Atlético Madrid, Botafogo and Seattle Sounders.
Group C is headlined by Bayern Munich and includes Boca Juniors, Benfica and Auckland City. In Group D, Chelsea, Flamengo, Esperance de Tunis and LAFC go head-to-head.
Group E will see River Plate, Inter Milan, Monterrey and Urawa Red Diamonds clash, while Group F brings together Fluminense, Borussia Dortmund, Ulsan HD and Mamelodi Sundowns.
Group G is led by reigning Club World Cup holders Manchester City, with Juventus, Al Ain and Wydad Casablanca completing the lineup. Group H boasts European record-holders Real Madrid alongside Al-Hilal, Pachuca and Red Bull Salzburg.
The tournament concludes on July 13, offering fans a rare opportunity to see global club rivals collide outside of continental play. With legendary names and fresh talent across the field, the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup promises high-stakes drama from start to finish.
