Juventus and Manchester City have secured their places in the Round of 16 at the ongoing Club World Cup in the United States.
Juventus kicked off their campaign with a dominant 5-0 victory over Al Ain on Sunday, then followed it up with a convincing 4-1 win against Wydad AC to confirm progression. Kenan Yildiz netted a brace and was instrumental in forcing an own goal as the Italian giants outclassed the Moroccan side.
Over in the same Group G, Manchester City made light work of Al Ain, cruising to a 6-0 win. Ilkay Gündogan scored twice, while Erling Haaland opened his account for the tournament. Claudio Echeverri, Oscar Bobb, and Rayan Cherki also added their names to the scoresheet.
The two European powerhouses now join Bayern Munich and Flamengo as confirmed participants in the knockout phase.
