Wydad AC and Al Ain are the latest teams to crash out of the 2025 Club World Cup.
Both sides suffered back-to-back defeats in Group G, losing to Manchester City and Juventus, who have now booked their spots in the Round of 16.
Wydad AC began their campaign with a 2-0 loss to City, followed by a heavy 4-1 defeat to Juventus on Sunday.
Al Ain fared even worse, conceding five goals to Juventus in their opener and then getting thumped 6-0 by Manchester City.
With no points from two games, both clubs are out of contention and will now play only for pride in their final group match on Thursday.
They join Ulsan HD, Auckland City, Los Angeles FC, Pachuca, and Urawa Red Diamonds, who had already been eliminated before Sunday’s games.
