Napoli forward Victor Osimhen is scheduled to undergo medical tests with the Serie A side in mid-July as part of their pre-season preparations — despite growing expectations that he will depart the club this summer.
Although the Nigerian international is widely tipped to leave the former Italian champions in a permanent move, no deal has yet been finalized.
The 26-year-old has turned down several big-money offers from Saudi Arabian giants Al Hilal, signaling a clear preference to remain in Europe.
Osimhen, who spent the previous season on loan at Turkish giants Galatasaray, enjoyed a prolific campaign, scoring 37 goals and contributing eight assists. His performance played a pivotal role in the club securing both the Turkish Super Lig and the domestic cup.
According to Le Marca Sports, Napoli will recall Osimhen for pre-season duties and have slated his medicals for July 14-15, a standard procedure ahead of team regrouping.
Unless a transfer materializes before then, the Super Eagles striker is expected to participate in Napoli’s warm-up fixtures.
While Galatasaray remains keen on bringing him back, reports suggest Fenerbahçe have made the highest formal offer for his services so far.
With the European transfer window heating up, all eyes remain on Osimhen’s next move.
