Football Clubs need to work more in some areas before they can compete with clubs from America, south America and Europe said coach Antony Adeyemi Adedeji.

Speaking with Faith Akindele (Mr stereo) on his Sport show Sport Gallery coach Anthony said in Africa each football club administrative needs to work on infrastructure like building a suitable and a standard stadium, good salary structure for players , insurance for players and making the environment suitable so as to attract foreign players to come and play in our leagues in Africa.

At the ongoing FIFA club world cup we saw how some African clubs like Wydad Casablanca, Al Ahly and other two clubs couldn’t go beyond group stage which is not good enough that is why we need management of each club to do more and work on infrastructure, placing Africa players on good salaries, good pitch and sign quality foreign players then we can compete with the word said the Switzerland based Coach.

Coach Antony Adeyemi Adedeji further joined Nigerians to send his condolences to the family of late ex Nigeria goal keeper Peter Rufai, he said if Nigeria government have a better and equipped hospital maybe he meant have not die of illness and also NFF need to work on insurance scheme for players so that when they retired they will have something to get , like me now in Switzerland if I said I am retiring today , I will be getting some money at the end of the month because of what I have done in the past but all the same Peter Rufai is gone and wish me to rest in peace.

Coach Antony also said with the way things is going in Nigeria football I have not seen any club that is ready to represent us well at the continental until all the necessary things are done, last weekend when I watched the federation Cup final between Kware United vs Abakaliki final , all I see is kick and follow mostly from Kwara United players which all this style of playing football will not take us anywhere, our approach to games , infrastructure, good pitch, style of playing need to align with international standards before we can compete with them at any level.

The Switzerland based Coach, coach Anthony Adedeji Adeyemi recently came home and gifted some jerseys and football materials to some footballers of the clubs he played for before he retired, he said he is happy to do this because u have to remember where and how you started and must always give back to the society to encourage them.
