Barau FC and Wikki Tourists have gained promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League for the 2025/2026 season after impressive outings at the NNL Super 8 playoffs.
Barau FC defeated Doma United 2-0 in their final group game at the Delta State University Field in Ozoro to seal their first-ever ticket to the top flight. The Maliya Boys finished the playoffs with five points.
Wikki Tourists, coached by Abdul Maikaba, thrashed Yobe Desert Stars 4-0 to claim the Northern Conference slot. They also ended with five points but edged out rivals with a superior goal difference of +4, marking their return to the NPFL after a two-year absence.
