In a keenly contested match, Crystal Palace handed Liverpool their first loss of the season in a 2-1 win for the Eagles.
The two sides came into the game as the only teams yet to taste defeat this season; however, it was Crystal Palace who continued their unbeaten streak.
The Eagles drew first blood in the early minutes of the first half, when Ismaila Sarr struck the back of the net, with the team showing composure and tactical discipline.
Glasner’s side gave Liverpool a run for their money, frustrating Arne Slot’s team. The Reds thought they had salvaged a point when substitute Chiesa found the back of the net in the 87th minute.
But the game took a different turn late on as former Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah scored, breaking the hearts of the champions.
The loss means Liverpool remain on 15 points, still topping the table, with Crystal Palace moving up to second, at least until the Arsenal vs. Newcastle match.
The game proves once again that the Premier League will always be full of twists and turns, affirming that no team is unbeatable.
