Bukayo Saka reached a career milestone on Saturday, scoring his 100th Premier League goal involvement in Arsenal’s 2-0 victory against West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium.
The 24 year old winger converted a second half penalty to seal the win, marking his 55th goal in the competition to go along with 45 assists. The achievement came in his 200th Premier League appearance, underlining his consistency and influence since breaking into Arsenal’s first team.
Saka’s journey began back in January 2019 when he made his league debut against Fulham. His first goal contribution came later that year in a 1-1 draw at Manchester United, setting up Pierre Emerick Aubameyang’s equaliser. It took until July 2020 for him to score his first league goal, in a 2-0 win over Wolves.
Since then, he has grown into Arsenal’s talisman. His breakout season came in 2021-22 with 11 goals and seven assists across all 38 league matches. He improved on that the following year with 14 goals and 11 assists, and in 2023-24 he matched the same tally of 25 involvements. Despite injury troubles in 2024-25, Saka still managed six goals and 10 assists in just 25 appearances.
With this landmark, Saka becomes the second youngest Arsenal player to reach 100 Premier League goal involvements, behind only Cesc Fàbregas. In Premier League history, he is the seventh youngest overall to achieve it, joining a list that includes Michael Owen, Wayne Rooney, Robbie Fowler, Cristiano Ronaldo, Romelu Lukaku and Fàbregas.
The England international has surpassed the pace of Raheem Sterling, Harry Kane and even Erling Haaland in reaching the milestone, and at just 24 years and 29 days, he has plenty of time to add many more.
Saka’s future at Arsenal looks bright with talks of a new contract on the horizon, and given his current trajectory, the conversation could soon turn to when he will hit 200 goal involvements in the Premier League.
