Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman could be on his way to the Turkish Super Lig, with reports from Fotomac indicating that Galatasaray are preparing a move to sign the Nigerian international.
According to the report, Galatasaray’s manager, Okan Buruk, has identified Lookman as a key target as he looks to strengthen his squad ahead of next season. Buruk is said to be a huge admirer of the winger’s versatility, pace, and goal-scoring ability, and believes he would form a lethal partnership with Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen.
If the transfer goes through, Lookman will reunite with his national teammate in Istanbul, with Osimhen reportedly expected to play a part in influencing his decision. Sources close to the player suggest that Osimhen’s relationship with Lookman and his growing influence in Europe could help push the deal over the line.
The 27-year-old nearly left Atalanta in the summer after Inter Milan submitted several bids that were ultimately rejected by the Serie A club. Frustrated by the situation, Lookman handed in a transfer request and skipped a few training sessions, but Atalanta held firm and kept him for the 2025/26 campaign.
Now, Galatasaray are believed to be readying a formal offer — one that could see Lookman arrive initially on loan, with an obligation to buy once the deal proves successful. The Turkish giants view the move as a statement signing as they prepare for another push in Europe next season.
Should the transfer materialize, it would mark a new chapter for Lookman, who has continued to impress since moving to Italy, and could now link up with Osimhen to form one of the most exciting attacking duos in Turkish football.
