Ademola Lookman has once again removed every connection to Atalanta from his social media accounts, including unfollowing the club, in what appears to be another sign of tension between both sides.
This fresh action comes days after Lookman had a heated confrontation with Atalanta manager, Ivan Juric, during their UEFA Champions League fixture against Olympique Marseille on Wednesday night.
Lookman became angry after Juric decided to take him off in the second half. The forward did not agree with the substitution and made his displeasure known immediately. The disagreement quickly turned into a verbal exchange in front of the technical area before other members of the Atalanta bench stepped in to keep things from getting worse.
The incident has now raised more questions about the relationship between Lookman and Juric. Many fans believe this latest move on social media shows Lookman is not happy at the club at the moment.
This is also not the first time something like this is happening. Lookman unfollowed Atalanta earlier in the summer when he was upset that the club refused to accept an offer from Inter Milan that was reported to be below €50 million. He protested then by removing the club from his social handles.
With this recent development, attention now shifts to how Atalanta will respond and what the club’s next step will be. The situation is also expected to draw interest from potential suitors when the transfer window opens again.
