Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has allayed fears over a potential injury to Bruno Fernandes following the club’s 2–1 comeback victory over Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Fernandes, who created both of United’s goals at Selhurst Park, appeared to be in discomfort after receiving a heavy kick late in the game. His reaction raised concerns among supporters, especially as he engaged in a lengthy discussion with members of the coaching staff shortly before full-time.
However, Amorim has confirmed that the midfielder is not carrying any significant issue and is expected to be available for the upcoming Premier League clash against West Ham. The United boss explained that the Portugal international was simply reacting to the impact of the challenge and required brief attention from the bench before continuing.
United had fallen behind to a first-half penalty from Jean-Philippe Mateta but responded strongly after the break through goals from Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount, with Fernandes central to both moments.
Amorim’s reassurance will ease anxiety among fans, with Fernandes remaining a vital figure in United’s attack as they prepare for another important league fixture.
