Nigeria’s Super Eagles have officially commenced their training camp in Cairo as preparations intensify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Team officials confirmed that the squad is lodged at the Renaissance Hotel in Cairo, where head coach Eric Sékou Chelle, his assistants, and members of the technical crew are already settled.
Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho is the first player to arrive in camp. The Omonia Nicosia shot-stopper landed in the Egyptian capital in the early hours of Sunday.
The camp opening sets the stage for an international friendly against the Egyptian national team, the Pharaohs, scheduled for Tuesday at the Cairo International Stadium.
The encounter will serve as a key tune-up fixture for the Super Eagles as they fine-tune tactics and squad cohesion ahead of AFCON 2025.
