Former Super Eagles skipper, William Troost-Ekong, is on the verge of completing a move to Qatari outfit Al Ahli SC from Saudi Arabian club Al Kholood.
Renowned transfer insider, Fabrizio Romano, revealed on Monday that the Nigerian defender is set to make the switch.
According to Romano’s post on X, Troost-Ekong has agreed to join Al Ahli, bringing his spell with Al Kholood to an end.
The 32-year-old centre-back only arrived at the Saudi club in August 2024 after leaving Greek giants PAOK. During his time with Al Kholood, he made 45 league appearances and found the back of the net twice.
Troost-Ekong recently announced his retirement from international football just weeks before the start of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which has now concluded.
