Transfer Update: Fenerbahçe yet to finalise Ademola Lookman deal
Fresh details have surfaced regarding Fenerbahçe’s pursuit of Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman.
Renowned transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reports that while talks between both clubs are ongoing, a full agreement has not yet been reached.
Although the two sides have verbally aligned on a €40 million package for the Nigerian international, negotiations are still stuck on the structure and payment conditions of the deal.
Fenerbahçe are also not alone in the race. Atletico Madrid have entered the picture, with the Spanish giants making contact in recent hours to enquire about the terms required to secure Lookman’s signature.
The 27-year-old attacker was close to departing Atalanta during the previous summer transfer window but ultimately remained with the Serie A side.
Lookman enjoyed a strong outing with the Super Eagles at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, further boosting his market value. With the January transfer window set to close this weekend, it remains uncertain whether Atalanta will sanction his exit before the deadline.
