Arsenal Football Club has officially announced that star winger Bukayo Saka has signed a new long-term contract, committing his future to the Gunners until June 2031.
The five-year deal, which was completed today, makes the 24-year-old Hale End academy product Arsenal’s highest-paid player, with wages reported to exceed £300,000 per week (rising to approximately £340,000 including bonuses).
Saka, who first joined Arsenal as an eight-year-old in May 2010, has grown into one of the most exciting talents in world football. A key leader for both club and country, he has already racked up 78 goals and nearly 300 appearances across all competitions, establishing himself as the team’s standout goalscorer and creator.
Arsenal’s announcement captured the emotion perfectly:
“Bukayo is one of us.”
“Committing his future to north London”
The club accompanied the news with a heartfelt video package celebrating Saka’s journey from the academy to the first team.
This contract extension comes at a pivotal moment for Mikel Arteta’s side, who are battling on multiple fronts this season – chasing Premier League glory, competing in the Champions League, and still alive in both domestic cup competitions. Securing Saka long-term removes any uncertainty around one of their most important assets and sends a strong message about the club’s ambitions.
Widely regarded as one of the Premier League’s elite wingers and a cornerstone of the England national team, Saka’s decision to stay at the Emirates Stadium has been met with widespread excitement from fans, teammates, and the football community.
The deal not only rewards Saka’s loyalty and consistent excellence but also cements his status as the heartbeat of this exciting Arsenal project.
