Victor Osimhen to Miss Galatasaray’s Clash with Konyaspor Over Knee Injury
Victor Osimhen will not feature in Galatasaray S.K.’s away fixture against Konyaspor after being ruled out with a knee problem.
The Turkish champions confirmed on their official website that the Nigerian forward is currently nursing a knee injury. As a precautionary measure, he has been excluded from the travelling squad for the league encounter.
Osimhen was in action earlier this week when Galatasaray faced Juventus F.C. in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League playoff tie on Tuesday. The 27-year-old delivered an impressive performance, providing two assists for the Yellow and Reds in the encounter.
Despite the setback, Osimhen has enjoyed a productive campaign under head coach Okan Buruk, scoring nine goals and registering three assists in 16 league appearances this season.
Galatasaray will hope to cope in his absence as they continue their push in both domestic and European competitions.
