UEFA Champions League: Victor Osimhen warns Galatasaray S.K. team-mates ahead of last-16 clash
Galatasaray S.K. striker Victor Osimhen has warned his team-mates that there are still “a lot of things” they must improve on ahead of their Round of 16 fixture in the UEFA Champions League.
Osimhen once again proved decisive for the Turkish giants, scoring the crucial goal in their dramatic play-off victory over Juventus F.C..
Despite holding a commanding 5-2 advantage from the first leg, Galatasaray found themselves 3-0 down after 90 minutes against a 10-man Juventus side, forcing the encounter into extra time.
However, Osimhen rose to the occasion, pulling one back before Yilmaz added another to seal qualification.
Speaking after the match, the Nigerian international praised Juventus for their resilience but stressed that Galatasaray must return to the drawing board.
“We qualify, but we have a lot of things we need to improve on,” Osimhen said.
“We’re going into the next round to play the big dogs.”
Galatasaray could face either Tottenham Hotspur F.C. or Liverpool F.C. in the Round of 16 as they aim to continue their European campaign.
