Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola has singled out Manchester United as the most in-form side in the Premier League, placing them ahead of title challengers like Arsenal and Manchester City.
The Spaniard made this assessment while speaking to journalists during his pre-match press conference ahead of Bournemouth’s clash with United at the Vitality Stadium on Friday night.
Iraola pointed to United’s recent performances as evidence of their resurgence, praising the team’s consistency and intensity under interim manager Michael Carrick. According to him, the Red Devils have developed into one of the most difficult sides to face in the division.
He acknowledged the scale of the challenge awaiting his team, admitting Bournemouth would have to produce a near-perfect display to come away with a positive result.
“I think we will have to be very good to get a draw because they are playing very well,” Iraola said. “They are one of the best, if not the best team right now in the Premier League.”
United’s recent run has lifted them into third place on the league table with 54 points, strengthening their push for a top-four finish. They currently sit three points ahead of Aston Villa, who occupy fourth position, while continuing to keep pressure on the teams above them.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, will be aiming to upset the odds on home soil, but face a stern test against a United side that appears to be hitting top form at a crucial stage of the season.
