Former Dietmar Hamann has advised Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen to consider a move to Newcastle United if he decides to leave Galatasaray.
Osimhen has repeatedly been linked with a switch to the Premier League in recent seasons, with clubs such as Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United previously showing interest in the forward.
The Nigeria international spent the 2024 25 campaign on loan at Galatasaray, where he played a key role in helping the club secure a domestic double. His performances convinced the Turkish side to complete a permanent transfer from Napoli last summer.
Despite that move, speculation continues to grow around his future, with reports linking the 27 year old striker with a possible exit from the Turkish Super Lig champions at the end of the current season.
Hamann believes Osimhen possesses the qualities needed to thrive in England, pointing to his pace, strength and finishing ability as attributes that would make him a success in the Premier League.
The former Liverpool midfielder also suggested that Newcastle United could be a suitable destination, particularly if the club decides to part ways with striker Nick Woltemade.
According to Hamann, Osimhen would fit seamlessly into Newcastle’s attacking setup and could make an immediate impact if the move materialises, further strengthening the club’s ambitions in domestic and European competitions.
