Abia Comets have appointed Ifeanyi Ukaiwe as their new head coach ahead of the new Nationwide League One (NLO) season.
Ukaiwe joins the Umuahia-based club after previously managing NLO side Right2Win.
He was unveiled by Abia Comets chairman, Chief Boniface Alozie Uche, at the club house in Umuahia.
Ukaiwe will work alongside Ugochukwu Umunnakwe, who has been appointed as his assistant.
The new technical team has been tasked with working together as the club prepares for the upcoming campaign.
Abia Comets will compete in the NLO next season after being relegated from the higher division last term.
The appointment of Ukaiwe is part of the club’s preparations for life in the NLO as they look to build a new technical structure ahead of the campaign.
