English football fans got a real treat with the Carabao Cup quarter-final draw. It’s packed with big rivalries, surprise teams, and a clear shot at Wembley.
All four games happen the week starting December 15, 2025. Dates and times will come out soon. Here’s the draw:
1 Arsenal vs Crystal Palace
2 Cardiff City vs Chelsea
3 Manchester City vs Brentford
4 Newcastle United vs Fulham

Arsenal vs Crystal Palace: London derby at the Emirates
Arsenal beat Brighton 2-0 in the last round, with goals from young star Ethan Nwaneri and Bukayo Saka. Palace pulled off a huge shock by thrashing Liverpool 3-0 at Anfield. Now they’re after another big Premier League team. This London derby should be full of action.
Cardiff City vs Chelsea: Lower-League Side Faces the Blues
Championship team Cardiff City play Chelsea at home. They fought hard to win their last game and now meet Enzo Maresca’s side, who just scraped past Wolves 4-3. BBC experts called it “a great chance for Cardiff” to cause another upset.
Manchester City vs Brentford: Tough Test at the Etihad
Pep Guardiola’s Man City won 3-1 against Swansea. They face Brentford, who love to upset the big clubs. The Bees will try to do it again against the former champions.
Newcastle United vs Fulham: Champions Defend at Home
Newcastle, last year’s winners, beat Tottenham 2-0 with goals from Fabian Schär and Nick Woltemade. They host Fulham at St James’ Park. The Magpies want to keep the trophy, but Fulham won’t make it easy.
What Happens Next?
Winners go to the semi-finals, played over two legs in January or February 2026. The final is at Wembley on February 25.
As the Carabao Cup progresses, fingers crossed on who will emerge as this year’s tournament champion.
