Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has praised Victor Osimhen’s mindset, describing the striker as a player driven by an intense desire to win.
Speaking about Osimhen’s approach in camp, Chelle said the Galatasaray forward brings the same high standards he shows in matches into every training session. According to the coach, the 27-year-old is usually the earliest to report for training and the last to walk off the pitch.
Chelle explained that Osimhen’s work ethic reflects a deep competitive spirit and an obsession with success, both individually and as part of the team.
“Whenever training begins, he’s already on the field, and when it ends, he’s still there,” Chelle told RMC Sport. “He wants to win everything.”
Impressed by his leadership and commitment, Chelle has handed Osimhen the role of assistant captain in the Super Eagles squad, underlining the trust placed in him both on and off the pitch.
