Tensions flared between Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham during Real Madrid’s dramatic UEFA Champions League exit at the hands of Bayern Munich on Wednesday.
The heated exchange occurred late in the match, shortly before Eduardo Camavinga received his second yellow card and was sent off.
In the 83rd minute, Vinicius surged forward with the ball, while Bellingham made a run into the box, calling for a pass. However, a heavy touch from the Brazilian allowed Dayot Upamecano to close him down quickly, preventing any chance of a delivery.
Frustrated by the missed opportunity, Bellingham reacted visibly, prompting an angry response from Vinicius, who was heard telling his teammate to stop complaining.
At the time, Madrid were ahead 3–2 on the night, with the aggregate score tied at 4–4. The game shifted moments later when Camavinga was dismissed for time-wasting.
Bayern capitalized on the numerical advantage almost immediately, as Luis Diaz and Michael Olise both found the net to send the German side through.
The result secured Bayern a place in the semi-finals, where they will face Paris Saint-Germain.
