Liverpool have decided to keep faith in manager Arne Slot despite the club’s alarming dip in form that has seen them lose six of their last seven matches and bow out of the Carabao Cup.
The Reds were humbled 3–0 at Anfield by Crystal Palace on Wednesday night, compounding a difficult run that includes four straight Premier League defeats, leaving them seventh in the table and seven points adrift of leaders Arsenal.
Slot, who made ten changes to his starting lineup from the side beaten by Brentford last weekend, has faced growing scrutiny from fans and pundits. However, reports from BBC Sport indicate that the Liverpool hierarchy has no plans to dismiss the Dutchman, insisting the 47-year-old retains “plenty of credit in the bank.”
Slot guided Liverpool to the Premier League title in his debut season, and the club’s board reportedly believes his recent slump is a temporary setback rather than a sign of deeper problems.
Despite speculation about his future, Liverpool’s leadership remains confident that Slot can turn things around as they prepare to refocus on their league campaign.
