Victor Osimhen reached a major milestone on Sunday night after scoring his 200th career goal during Galatasaray’s emphatic 4-0 victory over Kayserispor in the Turkish Super Lig.
The Nigeria international was at the heart of Galatasaray’s dominant display, also providing an assist as the Yellow and Reds cruised to another important league win. Osimhen’s landmark goal further underlined his status as one of Africa’s most prolific forwards of his generation.
Osimhen has now scored a total of 200 goals in his professional career, comprising 165 strikes at club level and 35 goals for the Nigerian national team. The achievement came in style as Galatasaray controlled proceedings from start to finish.
The 27-year-old forward netted Galatasaray’s second goal of the evening from the penalty spot in the 26th minute, calmly converting to double his side’s advantage. He continued to torment the Kayserispor defence and later turned provider, setting up Gabriel Sara for Galatasaray’s third goal on the hour mark.
Under the guidance of head coach Okan Buruk, Galatasaray remained ruthless, sealing a comprehensive win that further strengthened their grip on the league title race.
Osimhen has now scored 14 goals in 20 appearances across all competitions for Galatasaray this season, highlighting his consistent impact since joining the Istanbul giants.
The victory ensured Galatasaray maintained their position at the top of the Super Lig table with 49 points, continuing their push for domestic glory.
