Manchester United have confirmed that promising young defender Jaydan Kamason has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
The Premier League side announced on Friday that the 19-year-old full-back has agreed fresh terms that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2028, with the option of an additional year.
Kamason’s journey at Manchester United has been one of steady progression through the club’s youth system. He joined the Academy’s Emerging Talent Programme at the age of 10, having previously played grassroots football with Stockport Vikings.
In 2023, he made history by becoming the first player from the Emerging Talent Programme to sign a professional contract with the club, underlining his potential and development within United’s setup.
Since then, the young defender has continued to grow, gaining valuable experience with the club’s Under-21 side. He has made 15 appearances across multiple competitions, including Premier League Two, the Premier League International Cup, and the National League Cup.
Manchester United, in a statement, expressed confidence in Kamason’s future and acknowledged his progress so far.
“Congratulations to Jaydan on his new contract and best of luck for what lies ahead,” the club said.
The new deal reflects the club’s commitment to nurturing young talent and providing a pathway from the academy to the senior team, with Kamason seen as one of the prospects to watch in the coming years.
As he continues his development, the full-back will be aiming to build on his performances at youth level and push closer to a potential breakthrough into the first team.
