The fixtures for this season’s FA Cup semi-finals have been officially confirmed following the conclusion of the draw held on Sunday.
Chelsea will go head to head with Leeds United in the first semi-final encounter, as both sides chase a coveted place in the final. The Blues secured their qualification in dominant fashion, delivering a ruthless 7-0 demolition of Port Vale at Stamford Bridge. Leeds United, however, had a more demanding route, edging past Premier League side West Ham United on penalties after a tightly contested match.
The second semi-final will feature Manchester City against Southampton, with both teams set to meet at Wembley Stadium. City arrive at this stage in impressive form, having dismantled Liverpool 4-0 in their quarter-final clash, underlining their strong title ambitions. Pep Guardiola’s side will now be looking to move one step closer to claiming what would be their eighth FA Cup trophy.
Southampton, meanwhile, produced one of the standout results of the round by eliminating Arsenal, showing resilience and tactical discipline to secure their spot in the last four. Their reward is a high-profile showdown against the reigning champions, as they aim to continue their remarkable run in the competition.
With all four teams now confirmed, attention turns to the semi-final fixtures scheduled for April 25 and 26, where Wembley will once again host two decisive encounters that will determine the finalists of this year’s FA Cup.
