Chiamaka Nnadozie is targeting the Women’s Super League Golden Glove award after an impressive debut season with Brighton & Hove Albion Women, where she has quickly established herself as one of the standout goalkeepers in the competition.
The Super Falcons shot-stopper joined Brighton on a free transfer last summer and has so far kept six clean sheets in 18 league appearances. Her performances have placed her in strong contention for the prestigious award, although she still trails several rivals in the race.
She is currently behind goalkeepers such as Ayaka Yamashita, Hannah Hampton, and Phallon Tullis-Joyce, all of whom have recorded seven clean sheets this season. Despite the competition, Nnadozie has continued to impress with her consistency, reflexes, and command in goal.
Her performances have not gone unnoticed, as she has already won the Save of the Month award twice this season, further highlighting her importance to Brighton’s defensive stability. Her debut campaign in England has been widely regarded as a strong one, with steady performances helping the club remain competitive.
Beyond individual honours, Nnadozie is also focused on team success as Brighton prepare for a major test in the Women’s FA Cup. They will face Liverpool Women in the semi-final, a fixture that offers them a chance to reach a significant final this season.
As the campaign enters its decisive stages, the Nigerian goalkeeper remains determined to maintain her form, with both personal and team ambitions still firmly within reach.
