Chelsea FC have officially confirmed details of their 2026 pre-season tour, which will see the club travel across Asia and Australasia for a series of high-profile friendly matches ahead of the new campaign.
The tour marks the Blues’ return to the region for the first time in several years, with the club previously visiting Japan in 2019 and Australia in 2018. This time, preparations will begin in Australia, where Chelsea will play two matches in Sydney at the Accor Stadium.
The first fixture is scheduled against local side Western Sydney Wanderers on 28 July, followed by a blockbuster London derby clash against Tottenham Hotspur on 1 August at the same venue. Both matches are expected to draw large crowds, given the strong Premier League following in Australia.
After the Australian leg of the tour, Chelsea will move on to Hong Kong, where they last played in 2011. There, they will face Italian giants Juventus at the newly developed Kai Tak Stadium on 5 August, one of the most anticipated fixtures of the tour.
The final stop will be Jakarta, Indonesia, where Chelsea are set to meet another European heavyweight, AC Milan, at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on 8 August. The match is expected to attract huge local interest as part of the club’s global fan engagement efforts.
The club described the tour as an important part of their pre-season preparations, offering players competitive match fitness while also strengthening Chelsea’s global presence. Fans will also have the opportunity to see star players up close as the team builds momentum ahead of the 2026/27 season.
With fixtures against top European opposition and popular local clubs, Chelsea’s pre-season schedule promises a high-profile and commercially significant summer across three major football markets.
