Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso could be without three important players when his team takes on Brentford in their next Premier League fixture.
Joao Pedro, Reece James and Moises Caicedo were all absent from Chelsea’s training session on Tuesday morning, raising concerns over their availability for the upcoming league encounter.
The Blues will be looking to respond after dropping points in their previous outing, when they were held to a disappointing 2-2 draw by Hull City.
According to Sky Sports, Brazilian forward Pedro was not involved during the portion of Tuesday’s training session that was open to the media.
Pedro has made an impressive start to the season, scoring three goals and providing three assists in just five appearances for Chelsea.
Club captain James and midfielder Caicedo were also not part of the main training group on Tuesday, further adding to Alonso’s selection concerns ahead of the Brentford match.
James has featured heavily for Chelsea in the Premier League this season and has completed the full 90 minutes in three of the club’s four league matches.
Alonso will now await further updates on the trio as Chelsea prepare for their next Premier League fixture against Brentford.
