The 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign continued across the continent on Tuesday, with several matches producing notable results.
Nigeria suffered a heavy 3-0 defeat to Guinea-Bissau at the 24 de Setembro National Stadium in Bissau.
Franculino Djú put the hosts ahead in the 15th minute, firing a left-footed effort past Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali.
Guinea-Bissau extended their lead after the break through Mama Baldé before Álvaro Djaló added a third goal to complete a convincing victory.
The result handed Guinea-Bissau three points against Nigeria, who had opened their campaign with a 2-1 win over Madagascar.
Elsewhere, Senegal secured a narrow 1-0 away victory over Ethiopia, while Congo and Cameroon played out a 1-1 draw.
Ghana suffered a surprise 4-2 home defeat to Gambia, while Egypt recorded the biggest victory of the day with a 5-0 win away to South Sudan.
Morocco also picked up an away victory, beating Lesotho 2-0, while Mozambique defeated Sudan 4-1.
