Shooting Stars have called on their supporters to remain patient with head coach Salisu Yusuf as the Oluyole Warriors look to recover from a difficult start to the NPFL season.
The appeal was made by the club chairman, Hon. Kehinde Lekan Salami, following the team’s goalless draw against Kano Pillars in their latest league fixture.
The result extended Shooting Stars’ recent struggles, with the Ibadan-based side managing just one victory in their last six league matches.
Despite the disappointing run, Salami believes the team’s performances indicate that progress is being made and has urged supporters not to lose faith in the coaching staff.
“One disappointing draw shouldn’t erase the progress,” Lekan Salami told BallwithAra.
“I urge our fans to give head coach Salisu Yusuf time; the team will get better.”
The club chairman also expressed confidence that the technical crew has what it takes to address the team’s shortcomings and improve results as the campaign progresses.
Shooting Stars will now turn their attention to their next league assignment as they seek to end their winless spell and regain momentum.
The Oluyole Warriors are scheduled to face Kun Khalifat FC in Owerri on Sunday, with the encounter providing Yusuf and his players an opportunity to respond to their recent struggles.
The club will be hoping for a stronger performance and, more importantly, a return to winning ways as they look to climb the NPFL table.
