Nigeria to Host 2025 WAFU B U-17 Championship in Ogun State
Nigeria has been confirmed as the host nation for the 2025 WAFU B U-17 Championship, scheduled to take place in September 2025.
The announcement was made by Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President, Ibrahim Gusau, during a courtesy visit to Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun.
Two venues in Ogun State will host the tournament: the MKO Abiola Sports Complex in Abeokuta, which has recently undergone renovation, and the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.
The regional youth tournament will feature Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Niger Republic, Togo, Benin, Ghana, and host nation Nigeria.
Crucially, the competition will double as a qualifier for the 2025 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations, with the top-performing teams securing spots at the continental tournament.
