Florentino Pérez has been officially re-elected as president of Real Madrid after defeating challenger Enrique Riquelme in the club’s presidential election held on Sunday.
According to reports from Marca, Pérez secured a commanding victory with around 70% of the votes cast by the club’s socios, confirming his continued leadership at the Santiago Bernabéu.
The result extends his long-standing influence at Real Madrid and sets the stage for another term in charge of one of the most successful football institutions in the world.
Following the election outcome, attention has quickly shifted to expected summer moves and major decisions at the club. Reports suggest that official announcements could soon follow regarding high-profile appointments and transfers as Pérez continues to reshape the squad.
Among the anticipated developments is the arrival of José Mourinho, who is expected to return to the Santiago Bernabéu in a managerial capacity after leaving Benfica.
There are also expectations that Real Madrid could complete deals for defensive reinforcements such as Ibrahima Konaté and Denzel Dumfries as part of their ongoing squad strengthening plans.
Pérez has also hinted at a major marquee signing, stating plans to submit a €150 million bid for a “galáctico-level” player as the club looks to maintain its competitive edge both domestically and in Europe.
With the election now settled, Real Madrid’s focus is expected to shift fully to transfer activity and preparations for the new season, with significant changes anticipated in the coming weeks.
