Nigeria international Akor Adams has completed a permanent move to Italian club Venezia, signing a four year contract that will keep him at the club until June 2030.
The 26 year old arrives after an impressive spell with Sevilla, where he scored 10 goals and provided four assists in 37 appearances across all competitions.
Speaking after completing the move, Adams said Venezia’s long term ambition played a major role in his decision.
“I chose to come here because I see the extraordinary project Venezia is building, and I want to contribute to writing a new chapter in its history.”
Adams has enjoyed a steady rise through European football, having previously featured for Norwegian sides Sogndal IL and Lillestrøm SK before moving to French club Montpellier. His performances eventually earned him a switch to Sevilla, where he further established himself as a reliable attacking option.
The striker now begins a new chapter in Serie A, with Venezia hoping his experience and goalscoring ability will strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
Adams also remains an important member of the Super Eagles setup and will be aiming to maintain his form as Nigeria prepare for upcoming international competitions.
