Rivers United technical adviser, Finidi George, has declared that anything short of victory will be unacceptable when his side faces Zambian outfit Power Dynamos in the CAF Champions League.
The Pride of Rivers will host Power Dynamos in a Matchday 4 Group A encounter at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Sunday.
Speaking ahead of the crucial clash, Finidi stressed the importance of maximum points, insisting his players must back up their words with action on the pitch.
“We don’t need to talk too much. What matters is going out there, putting in the hard work, and getting the maximum points,” Finidi said.
“It’s all about winning. If we score more goals, that will be an added advantage. I can assure you that we will give everything in this game.”
The former Super Eagles winger also expressed confidence in his team’s defensive solidity.
“We have been defending well lately, and I believe good defence wins games. We will stay compact at the back and look to score goals,” he added.
Rivers United currently have one point from three matches in Group A and will be hoping to revive their campaign with a win against Power Dynamos.
