The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the officiating team for the decisive 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying match between Benin Republic and Nigeria’s Flamingos.
Ugandan referee Shamirah Nabadda has been selected to oversee the encounter as the centre referee. She will be assisted by Mali’s Fanta Idrissa Kone as the first assistant referee and Burundi’s Fides Bangurambona as the second assistant referee.
Another Ugandan official, Josephine Nantongo, has been appointed as the reserve referee for the fixture.
CAF has also assigned Togolese official Aissata Ameyo as the match commissioner, while Senegal’s Fatou Gaye will serve as the referee assessor.
Nigeria head into the return leg with a slim advantage after securing a 3-2 victory in the first meeting of the final qualifying round.
The Flamingos, led by head coach Akeem Busari, arrived in Lomé on Friday ahead of the crucial showdown.
The decisive fixture is scheduled to take place on Saturday at Stade de Kégué in Lomé, where Nigeria will be aiming to book a place at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
