France captain Kylian Mbappe has officially received the Golden Boot after finishing as the leading scorer at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Real Madrid forward confirmed the presentation of the award on his Instagram page on Thursday.
Mbappe scored 10 goals in eight appearances during the tournament, with two of those goals coming in France’s 6-4 defeat to England in the third-place play-off.
His tally saw him become the first men’s player to win the World Cup Golden Boot in consecutive editions.
The 27-year-old also became the first player to score 10 goals at a single men’s World Cup since West Germany legend Gerd Müller reached the mark in 1970.
Mbappe’s latest individual honour comes ahead of this month’s Ballon d’Or ceremony, with the France captain hoping his World Cup campaign strengthens his bid for the prestigious award.
