Victor Osimhen and Gift Orban have emerged as joint leaders in the Turkish Super Lig Golden Boot standings, following their goalscoring contributions for Galatasaray and Amedspor over the weekend.
Osimhen maintained his impressive form in front of goal on Friday, scoring as Galatasaray defeated Konyaspor 4-0 away from home.
The Nigerian international continued to demonstrate his importance to the Turkish giants, adding another goal to his tally in the convincing victory.
Meanwhile, fellow Nigerian forward Gift Orban also made a notable impact for Amedspor during their encounter with Eyupspor on Sunday.
Orban found the net once and supplied an assist as Amedspor produced an emphatic performance to secure a 5-1 win over their opponents.
The results of the weekend fixtures have left both Nigerian forwards level at the top of the Super Lig scoring chart, with each player having scored nine goals so far this season.
However, Orban has recorded more assists than Osimhen. The Amedspor attacker has provided four assists, while the Galatasaray striker has registered three.
Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah is also among the leading goalscorers in the competition. Playing for Trabzonspor, Salah has scored eight goals and is just one strike behind the Nigerian pair.
With Osimhen and Orban currently sharing the lead on nine goals apiece, their performances in the coming fixtures will be crucial as the battle for the Turkish Super Lig Golden Boot continues.
